The wait is over! Our 2026 pick-your-own blueberry season officially opens on Thursday, July 16th. If you love fresh, juicy blueberries and a fun day outdoors, this is the perfect way to spend your summer. Whether you’re a seasoned picker or trying it for the first time, our farm offers a welcoming experience for all ages. Plus, we have a special offer to thank you for sharing your experience with us.
What to Expect During Your Visit
When you arrive, you’ll find rows upon rows of plump blueberries ready to be picked.
· Check In First: All visitors must check in at the farm stand before entering the fields.
· Use Provided Containers (or your own): We supply picking buckets, or you can bring your own containers.
· Rain Policy: We are open in light rain, but will close during thunderstorms or muddy conditions …for your safety!
· Cash, Mobile Pay (Venmo) Accepted: Payment is due after picking. Prices are posted at the farm stand.
· Be Kind & Have Fun! This is a family-run farm — treat it with care, and enjoy your day in nature! Thanks for picking blueberries at Running Fox Farm!!
Tips for Picking Blueberries Effectively
Picking blueberries might seem simple, but a few tips can help you get the best haul:
Look for deep blue berries: Avoid berries with a red or green tint as they are not fully ripe.
Gently roll the berries off the stem: Ripe blueberries come off easily without much force.
Pick from the middle of the bush: These berries tend to be sweeter and juicier.
Use both hands: One hand to hold the branch and the other to pick, which helps avoid damaging the bush.
These tips will help you gather the tastiest berries and make your picking experience more enjoyable.
